Lumpini Park, the first place I went sprinting, is an amazing place for cycling, swimming, jogging, slightly for weight training, basketball, football, tennis, badminton and, most importantly, relaxing. Indeed, its atmosphere, sound of birds, view, lakes, trees and the whole green area always fascinate me. I normally go there once a week to relax and enjoy nature. I do recommend you go there once if you have never been to there. For sure, you would definitely enjoy it!
Lumpini Park area is about 142 acres equal to 57 hectares and contains 6 gates. The park is surrounded by parts of Ratchadamri Road, Rama IV Road, Witthayu Road and Sarasin Road. In addition to taxi and motorbike taxi, you can head to the park through MRT, Lumpini Park Station and Silom Station, and BTS, Saladang Station. The park is open daily from 4:30 am to 9:00 Pm. In addition to a smoking ban, you cannot bring a dog either.

Jogging and cycling in Lumpini Park
Lumpini Park is famous for morning and evening joggers. Paths around the park for jogging and also cycling are two and a half kilometres in length. From 5 to 8 am and 5 to 8 pm, the park is more crowded. Cycling is only permitted during the day between 10:00 am to 3:00 pm. Additionally, there are some specific places for bar bodyweight workout and stretching.
However the equipment is not in good conditions, there are also two open spaces for weight training. Monthly membership is 200 Bhat and 20 Bhat daily.
Furthermore, there are morning and evening group workout classes, kind of dancing and boxing. There are two specific places where you can join these classes. One at gate 4 next to the King Rama VI Monument and another at the green space with rocks. You don’t need to pay for these classes but some participants pay some Baht at the end.
Playground, Pedal Boat, Stalls and Food Court in Lumpini Park
As mentioned above, Lumpini Park is not only for exercise but also for kids who want to play around, people who want to enjoy nature and even riding a pedal boat. Indeed, there is one specific kid’s playground and two places for renting a pedal boat, one near the green space with rocks and another near the clock tower.
Additionally, besides some stalls throughout the park, there is a food court too. The Lumpini Park food court is open between 6:00 am to 12:00 pm. You can serve or take away different types of foods and fruits.
